I. Consulting activity
and training:
* BQPC supports the rendering of consultancy assistance extended
by the Japan Productivity Center for Socio-Economic Development
(JPC-SED) to the Bulgarian companies on issues relating to
the productivity. The goal of the consulting missions in Bulgaria
is to diagnose the problems and improve the management of
the firms consulted. The missions of the Japan consulting
teams to the Bulgarian firms are held every year after preliminary
study of the needs and problems, which will be the subject
of analysis and consulting.
* Within the BQPC there are Japanese experts and consultants
on quality, productivity and human resources who were sent
pursuant by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
They work in a team together with the Bulgarian specialists
and through training and consultancy they assist the Bulgarian
enterprises in applying specific methods and systems for quality
managem ent and raising productivity.
In the course of training the newest Japanese conceptions
and practical experience as for the management are used:
» constant improvements (Kaizen) in the work of the organization;
» consecutive involvement of all associates and those concerned
into the processes of improvement;
» pronounced compliance with the human factor on whom the
development of the organization depends to a great extent.
The training programs of the BQPC are based on the Japan
management style and they are open - changes are possible
in the process of training caused by concrete problems,
proposals and requirements of the organisations. The programs
allow combinations of different modules and elements, depending
on the theme, goals of training, needs of the organization
and the managerial level of the participants in the respective
training course. They allow clarifying practically the concrete
management problems in due time and planning actions for
their settlement.

* BQPC holds open seminars (1-2 days) for a wide scope
of attendees with Bulgarian lecturers on themes related with
the quality, raising the productivity, etc.
» ISO 9000 and systems for quality
management/ internal audit;
» Process model for quality management;
» Methodology for self-assessment
of small and medium-sized enterprises through the European
standards (Self-Assessment of SMEs: EFQM Business Excellence
Model);
» Total Quality Management.
* Seminars and symposia with visiting lecturers from Japan
sent by the AOTS, JICA, JETRO, JPC-SED, the Embassy of Japan,
etc. These forums provide a large number of Bulgarian managers
and experts with the possibility to obtain concrete information
about the Japan management style and assess its capacity to
be applied in the Bulgarian environment.
* Training of Bulgarian specialists in the AOTS management
courses in Japan.
As a result from the long-lasting cooperation of many years
with the AOTS more than 400 Bulgarian managers and experts
have been trained in different AOTS management programs.

Thanks to our contacts of many years with a number of Japanese
organizations (AOTS, JPC-SED, JETRO, JMA, JICA) the BQPC
possesses a precious collection of information materials
in the field of management, quality improvement, raising
productivity and others, translated into Bulgarian.
Alongside with the Japanese sources the BQPC issues in
Bulgarian some of the best models in the field of management
and quality management written by European and American
authors. The dissemination of those editions among the BQPC
members, AOTS members, is realized through a subscription
system and free sale in the office of the Center.
